Course Description
This course provides a rigorous introduction to Biblical (Koine) Greek, focusing on grammar, morphology, and syntax, with the goal of enabling students to translate and analyze New Testament texts in their original language. Students will acquire a foundational working vocabulary, master essential paradigms, and develop exegetical skills for use in biblical and theological studies.

Course Objectives

• Recognize and reproduce the Greek alphabet, accents, and diacritical marks.
• Parse and analyze Greek nouns, verbs, pronouns, and adjectives across primary paradigms.
• Translate and compose sentences in Koine Greek.
• Apply grammatical and syntactical understanding to New Testament exegesis.
• Acquire a working vocabulary of key New Testament Greek terms.
