Program Overview:
The Master of Divinity (M.Div.) is a professional graduate degree designed to prepare individuals for ordained ministry, pastoral leadership, chaplaincy, and advanced theological study. This program provides a comprehensive foundation in theology, biblical studies, pastoral care, and practical ministry skills.
Program Outcomes:
Graduates of the M.Div. program will:
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of biblical and theological concepts.
  • Develop practical skills for effective pastoral leadership and ministry.
  • Engage in ethical decision-making and social justice initiatives.
  • Be prepared for ordination or further academic pursuits.

Admission Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Theology or a related field.
  • Academic transcripts and two letters of recommendation.
  • Personal statement outlining ministry experience and goals.
  • Interview with the admissions committee.
Graduation Requirements:
  • Completion of 72 credit hours with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Successful completion of the Supervised Ministry Internship.
  • Pass comprehensive exams in core disciplines.
  • Completion and defense of the Capstone Project or Ministry Thesis.

Practical Theology (12 credits)

Missiology and Evangelism (6 credits)

  • Theology of Mission

Field Education (6 Credit Hours)

  • Supervised Ministry Internship (400 hours)
  • Practical placement in a church or ministry setting.

Capstone Project or Ministry Thesis (6 Credit Hours)

Options:

  • Capstone Project: Develop and implement a ministry program addressing a real-world issue.
  • Ministry Thesis: A 12,000-word research thesis on a theological or pastoral topic, defended before a faculty panel.
